English Review (IELTS Review)
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is one of the major
requirements for nurses and other professionals wishing to apply and work abroad. With
the high cost of the exam itself, preparation is indeed essential. We have an intensive
program designed to improve the communications competency of the students. The program
features a final one-on-one coaching and simulated exams that are aimed to greatly
increase the band scores. Our excellent pool of lecturers will ensure that test
applicants do it right the first time.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
- 36-hour review on the four macro skills in using the English Language namely writing,
listening, reading, and speaking
- Designed for students and professionals who are aiming to work and migrate abroad
30 hours of lecture
- 6 hours for orientation on frequently asked questions for IELTS, test-taking
strategies, basic grammar review on parts of speech, tenses, sentence structures,
vocabulary, American idioms, and an overview of IELTS
- 6 hours for reading which covers the effective reading strategies, answering specific
question types such as multiple choice, identifying writer's opinion, yes/no/not given,
ftrue/false/not given, summary completion, diagram interpretation, and identifying
headings.
- 6 hours on listening, which covers effective listening strategies, answering specific
question types such as sentence completion, following directions, inferring the speaker's
mood, interpreting the diagrams or maps, and forming inferences.
- 6 hours on speaking that covers the rudiments of writing essays specifically
persuasive and narrative/ descriptive paragraphs. This includes tips on achieving
coherence, clarity, organization of thoughts, and unity of ideas.
- 6 hours on speaking that covers the three-part interview namely introduction and
interview, individual long-turn, and two-way discussion
3 hours diagnostic test
- This includes the four skills of using English Language that aims to gauge the
proficiency levels of the would-be students. This will give the teachers an idea about
the skills that he/she needs to strengthen among the students.
3 hours post test
- This includes the four skills of using the English Language that aims to gauge the
acquired skills of the learners/reviewees. This will prove to be important in coming up
with an evaluation of their performance and to prepare a recommendation to take the test
for the benefit of our partner agencies.
